This week, WOW successfully completed a PVC rotating display with hooks for a distributor customer, which is another great achievement for our design and production team. The project started a month ago when the customer approached our sales representative Emma and asked them for a hook display. The customer needed a display that could accommodate multiple adjustable hooks and was strong and durable.

According to the customer's requirements, Emma suggested using our latest material PVC display stand. Why is it recommended? There are several reasons:

Emma provided the customer with samples of PVC materials and samples of our existing display racks, which completely aroused the customer's interest. After discussing one of our more innovative designs, the customer made specific customization requirements, and Emma and our designers worked overtime to complete the design, and the efficient work was highly praised by the customer.

During the design process of the rotating PVC display rack with adjustable hooks, some challenges arose, which required effective communication and collaboration between our team and the customer.

1. Clarify Design Specifications

One of the initial challenges was aligning the client's vision with feasible design specifications. While the client wanted multiple adjustable hooks, they were unsure of the maximum number of hooks and how often the hooks could be repositioned without compromising the structural integrity of the stand. To address this, Emma and the team had to clearly explain the load capacity and demonstrate how the perforated PVC design would allow for frequent repositioning of the hooks while ensuring stability.

 

2. Material Considerations and Customization

PVC was recommended due to its strength and durability, but the client initially had reservations about its appearance. There were concerns about whether PVC would provide the premium feel they were looking for. Emma provided physical samples and real-world applications of our PVC displays, demonstrating that the material not only met the durability needs, but could also be aesthetically customized with different finishes and textures. Convincing the client of these benefits required multiple rounds of feedback and discussion.

 

3. Balancing Sturdiness and Maneuverability

The design required the stand to be both sturdy and easy to move, especially with products hanging from the hooks. Ensuring that the wheels on the display were strong enough to support the load of the stand without compromising the stand's balance was a complex task. The team experimented with different wheel sizes and locking mechanisms to strike the right balance between mobility and stability, and Emma worked closely with the engineers to ensure this aspect was communicated to the customer.

 

4. Refining the final design

The structure and appearance of the stand went through several revisions throughout the process. For example, the client was concerned that the weight of the product would pull down the hook, so the base was requested to be reinforced. Our design team quickly made adjustments to ensure that the base was strong enough without sacrificing the stylish and practical design of the stand. This back-and-forth caused minor delays, but constant communication ensured that the client's needs were met.

 

5. Testing the prototype

Once the prototype was developed, stress testing was required to confirm that the stand could withstand the expected load without bending or breaking. Adjustments were made to the hook design and frame based on test feedback. Emma kept the client updated at each stage and addressed the client's concerns about durability and appearance.

 

Production and Delivery

Three days after the design was finalized, our team produced the final sample. The client was impressed by the quality and attention to detail, and was very satisfied when the finished product was delivered.The stand's usefulness is further enhanced by its mobility, as it is equipped with rollers, allowing store staff to easily reposition the display as needed.
