Recently, WOW Packaging received a custom Coffee Bag Display Rack project from an Italian client, which immediately stood out to our team. The client was introduced to us through a business partner and was looking for a truly distinctive solution among existing cardboard shop displays. Although he had reviewed many coffee display designs on the market, none met his expectations.

Initial Approach
At the early stage, WOW's sales team presented several previously developed coffee-related cardboard retail display stands. One project attracted particular interest: a coffee display rack customized in 2022 for an Australian client. That display was designed specifically for cafés, combining brand promotion with in-store visibility.
The structure featured a creative coffee cup shape with a square base cabinet. This design directly communicated the coffee theme and demonstrated how a cardboard freestanding display rack could function as both a merchandising tool and a brand statement. The Italian client responded positively to this concept and asked us to develop a new version suitable for coffee bag products.
Client Feedback and Custom Requirements
The client expressed strong interest in the proposed design and shared several customization needs. They emphasized two primary goals: increasing product sales and improving in-store brand visibility. The display needed to help the brand stand out in competitive Italian retail environments.
Retail display strategies for individual stores differ significantly from chain-store solutions. Based on this understanding, WOW presented additional beverage display references previously developed for other brands, helping the client visualize how the Coffee Bag Display Rack could function across different retail formats.

After confirming the client's requirements, WOW formed a dedicated project team led by senior business manager Emma, supported by senior engineers Jason and Luke. The team conducted a focused one-hour discussion covering structural validation and display performance, resulting in a finalized solution aligned with the client's objectives.
Coffee Bag Display Rack Design
Overall Structure
The display adopted a coffee cup-inspired shape that immediately draws attention from coffee consumers. The upper section features a classic coffee cup form, while the lower section is a square display cabinet. This structure clearly conveys the product category and reinforces the coffee theme.
Color Scheme
Warm yellow was selected as the primary color. This tone creates a strong visual presence in retail environments and connects naturally with coffee-related branding.
Brand Identification
The word "COFFEE" appears prominently on both the top and bottom sections. The typography is clean and direct, helping improve brand recognition within retail spaces.
Space Utilization
The vertical layout allows efficient use of floor space, making the cardboard display rack suitable for placement near checkout counters, store entrances, or corner areas.
Structural Design
The rack includes four storage and display levels designed specifically for coffee bag promotion. This layered configuration allows multiple SKUs to be presented within one cardboard retail display stand.
Three-Dimensional Effect
Details such as the curved handle and cup rim enhance depth perception, giving the display a stronger visual presence compared to flat cardboard shop displays.
Material and Production Process
The rack is made entirely from cardboard, offering a balance between environmental responsibility and cost efficiency. This material choice supports sustainability requirements common in European retail markets.
Print Quality
High-resolution surface printing ensures strong color saturation and clear graphics, contributing to shelf impact.
Assembly and Logistics
The foldable cardboard structure simplifies transportation and on-site assembly, making it suitable for mass production and wide retail distribution as a cardboard freestanding display rack.
Recommended Display Dimensions
Based on the coffee bag sizes provided, WOW recommended appropriate display dimensions to ensure stable placement and efficient space usage. Our design team also prepared customized print artwork. After receiving the sample, the client confirmed that the result met expectations and approved the design for direct mass production based on the sample.
In addition, considering that the client mainly sells through retail stores, WOW suggested using store flags as a complementary promotional tool. Placing flags near shop windows and entrances helps attract pedestrian traffic and enhances brand exposure alongside the cardboard point of sale display.
